Who?

I'm Josh Bulman (tallest in image).

I conjure up imagery, emit sounds, and synchronize the pair in a tantalizing dance.

I'm from San Jose, California, but I live in Chicago, Illinois, and it's here that my wife (Tran Tran) and I mosey around, figuring out what's good to eat and how we can afford to eat it, small dog Manu usually in tow.

It's all gone pretty well so far.

People are important to me, so I'd like to name the most important ones here—those who have shaped and molded my way of thinking—in no particular order.

Tran: She's my wife and my favorite artist. There's quite a bit I'd probably never have done if it weren't for her. Two peas in a pod, she and I.

Joe: He's my brother and my favorite writer. Our brains are intertwined.

Sharon and Louise: The grandmas. They're two separate people, of course, but they both do their grandmotherly duties to ensure I know what they think of me. Forever grateful for their grandmotherliness.

Kathy: She's my mother. And my hero. As sweet as can be, with the heart of a Disney princess.

Mark: Dad. My favorite salesman, whose work ethic surpasses that of the most back-busting mule. Not sure I'll ever understand how he does it.
